Meet The Pond! For five years Merilä lab ran its genomic analyses on the supercomputers of CSC (Centre for Scientific Computing), Finland – a superb service we greatly enjoyed and benefitted from. Then came politics: US sanctions cut us off from these services, even though Hong Kong is a SAR with its own jurisdiction, and the computing services available locally did not meet our needs. Our solution: with the help of Matti Paksula Enterprises we set up The Pond, a server customised to our needs. Watch the demo
